Also known as Therapeutic Massage. Long flowing strokes, kneading and other movements focused on superficial layers of muscle using massage oil or lotion that improves circulation, relieves muscle tension and pain, increases flexibility and mobility, and helps clear lactic acid and other waste, which can reduce pain and stiffness in muscles and joints
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish Massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works slowly and specifically to release chronic muscle tension or knots.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones, either as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body while they massage other parts of the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly.
Himalayan Salt Stone Massage™
Himalayan Salt Stone Massage™ relaxes as it balances the central nervous system. It uses hand carved salt crystals from one of the most pristine environments in the world, salt caves deep below the Himalayan Mountains. This massage treatment combines Swedish massage techniques, thermal therapy, salt therapy, reflexology and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The salt stones are warmed and are used on strategic points and in specific combinations to balance the body's energy pathways and electromagnetic field. This results in very deep relaxation, improved sleep and reduced inflammation in addition to mild detoxification and exfoliation.
Trigger Point Therapy
A trigger point is a hyper-irritable spot that is painful. It is called a trigger point because it "triggers" a painful response. But a trigger point is more than a tender knot. It affects not only the muscle where the trigger point is located, but it can also cause "referred pain" to other areas of the body. Trigger points are located in a taut band of muscle fiber. The trigger point is the most tender point in the band. The therapist will locate and deactivate them using finger pressure.
Polarity therapy is based on the idea that a person's health and well-being are determined by the natural flow of energy through the body. Polarity refers to the positive and negative charges of the body's electromagnetic energy field. Practitioners use touch, movement, and other methods to help this energy flow.
